A smile shows the warmth that a person has inside,

So go ahead and don’t let that radiant smile hide!

A smile says that I really care about you in all that you do!

Won’t you please smile and show that you care too?

A smile brings out the beauty on any human face!

A smile is something that you can never ever waste!

Life can seem to be full of trudging mile after mile,

But you may feel like you are flying if you go with a smile!

Why not smile and brighten someone’s day?

You never know what happiness may head your way!

Go on and smile happily for the world to see!

Now don’t you think the world is so pretty?

A Poem For My Sister On Her Birthday

From watching Lion King to staying up to the early morn,

I was excited to welcome you into the world when you were born!

We danced together in front of the mirror when you were cranky.

I helped to dress you, change you, feed you, and wrap you in your blankie.

I helped you take those first steps and would catch you if you fell.

I read to you, played school with you, and made sure you felt well.

We worked hard together on the white tiger puzzle on your bedroom floor.

You came to college with me on your spring breaks and sometimes more.

Now you have grown into a smart, beautiful, young woman turning twenty.

I just wanted to say you mean the world to me and I love you plenty.

This was the poem I wrote to put in my sister's birthday card.

The Big Comfy Bed

The big comfy bed is always there tempting me,
But I must withhold my urge to sleep with thee.

I have so many things that I must do in my day,
I wish that it didn't always have to be this way.

But my big comfy bed, I will return to you soon.
Just like I do every tiring night under the moon.

Wait for me to climb lovingly upon you for some rest.
The gift of my big comfy bed makes me feel blessed.

See The Flowers

Oh how I could pass the hours,

Just staring at all the beautiful flowers!

Each little petal looks very delicate.

Each little design so intricate.

The colors that I see bring a smile to my face.

I love to have flowers all over my place.

The smell of sweet flowers permeates the air.

Sometimes I place flowers upon my hair.

Look at all the flowers that are upon our earth.

Each little flower brings happiness for what it is worth!

Walking

Come with me and let’s go for a walk!

Then we will have plenty of time to talk!

“Talk about what?” is what you now ask.

Talk about all that we see is our task.

Notice the trees with their branches gently swaying.

Notice which yards have dogs and kids happily playing.

Where do you spot the birds perching or flying?

Stop for a moment for a little shoe tying.

Onward we go to look at all of the green beauty.

Daily walks keep us healthy and are a fun duty!

Oh that first number, number one!
Number one can be quite some fun!
